Jeri is the inventor and lead hardware engineer of the castAR augmented reality gaming glasses. Prior to co-founding castAR (formally Technical Illusions) in 2013, Jeri was the first hardware hire of Valve Software where she helped build the hardware R&D team responsible for the company’s virtual reality initiatives. She is well-known in the hardware industry for creating high volume, extremely robust consumer products which sell in the millions. She is an icon in the maker / educational community best known for pushing the boundaries of what was thought possible for an individual. In 2012, Jeri was presented the Maker Hero of the Year award by MAKE Magazine.
